IFFCY to honor 2 veteran directors

30th International Film Festival for Children and Youth held in Isfahan is to honor Veteran directors Marzieh Borumand and Rasul Sadr-Ameli.

In a press conference held at the Film Museum of Iran on Saturday, Alireza Rezadad the secretary of  30th International Film Festival for Children and Youth said that the festival will honor two veteran directors Marzieh Borumand and Rasul Sadr-Ameli.

Borumand is well known for her highly successful films “Grandmother’s Home” and “School of Mice”, two famous puppet series from the 1980s.

Sadr-Ameli attracted attention by works like “The Girl in Sneakers”, “Waiting for a Miracle” and “I’m Taraneh, 15”.

The secretary of the festival has also added that to commemorate Abbas Kiarostami and film producer Ali Moallem a ceremony will be arranged at the festival.

A number of workshops have also been arranged on the sidelines of the festival, Rezadad said.

The 30th edition of IFFCY is slated for June 30 to July 6, 2017 in the Iranian city of Isfahan.
